For years, Teresa Folden ran a soul café in Boston Square, in the same building she's in today. Then she got sick, had brain surgery, and had to close the doors and stay down for six years.

She never let the dream go. "I kept the faith," she says, and in 2026 she opened that building back up as the only ice cream parlor in the neighborhood.

What's inside is soft serve and hard serve, signature flavors like southern butter pecan, plus burgers and chili dogs if you came hungry for more than dessert. What she was actually after is a place for people to gather, built on faith and love, because coming back to serve this block is the whole reason she fought to get here.

Six years down, and now the 49507 has somewhere to go. This is a comeback you can taste.
